CrossFit Souhegan is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Eric and Sarah Fasciani, who also own CrossFit Nashua and CrossFit Pepperell. ​ Before Eric opened our doors he had a small personal training company that operated out of multiple gyms in southern New Hampshire. His goal was to start a personal training studio, but as soon as he took the CrossFit Level 1 Certification, he knew his focus had to shift. The CrossFit training methods and certification process was like nothing he had seen. It aligned perfectly with his belief that fitness and health go hand in hand, and the goal of fitness training should be to add quality years to people’s lives. When he started implementing CrossFit workouts with his clients, the results spoke for themselves. The goal of opening a personal training studio quickly switched to opening a CrossFit gym. ​ Eric and Sarah began construction on their first location in 2010 with hopes of reaching 20 members within the first year. A year later they were bursting at the seams with 100 members and moving to the state of the art 8,500sf facility they are in now. Then in 2015 they opened CrossFit Souhegan and in 2022 they acquired CrossFit Pepperell. ​ From the start, the mission was to create a fun workout environment that helps people improve their lives through fitness. No matter who you are, your background, your age, or your fitness level, if you are willing to put in the work, CrossFit Souhegan wants to help you get there.

Eric started his fitness career as a personal trainer in 2006. He quickly found a passion for fitness that was focused on building healthier, more capable bodies. This clashed with the bodybuilding/physique focused approach that was prevalent at the gyms he worked out of. When he attended the CrossFit Level 1 Certification, he realized he had come across something special and instantly knew he wanted to open a CrossFit location. CrossFit has been the biggest influence on Eric and his approach to fitness. “I love that the focus is on health, wellness, and performance, rather than looks. You can have someone that looks ripped with abs and biceps but isn’t fit or healthy. But when you train CrossFit, you get people who are healthy, and capable of amazing things, and the side effects are that you look great.” What has motivated Eric more than anything else in his career is the belief that fitness carries over to all aspects of life. Perseverance, integrity, dedications, sacrifice, self-control, honesty, and commitment are all best and easiest learned through fitness. Sarah’s fitness career started in 2010 when she first tried CrossFit. She never really enjoyed working out in a typical gym, but she knew from day one of CrossFit that it would become a major part of her life. Within seven months of trying CrossFit, she became certified and started coaching at CrossFit Nashua. Since then, Sarah has obtained additional certifications in Crossfit, MovNat, and USAW. Sarah is also certified in CrossFit Kids, which she used to help show children and teens that fitness is a fun tool for a healthy life. ​ Sarah believes that everyone should always be “moving” from the very young to the elderly. That’s what drew her to CrossFit so much – the ability to scale for every walk of life. Sarah works well with all types of people from competitive athletes to those who have never set foot in a gym. For several years, I found myself hopping around between different fitness programs and diets. I was never quite satisfied with my results or physical endurance. Then came CrossFit. On Day 1, I was hooked. I knew this was where I belonged. There is nothing more exhilarating than hearing the 3, 2, 1 – GO! A room full of athletes focused on one common goal: getting the work done. I have witnessed tangible results in myself and others through CrossFit. An important component of success is support from fellow athletes. Coaching is my chance to give back to the community by helping others who are dedicated to improving their health and fitness. I find it very rewarding to help other athletes achieve their goals. CrossFit has improved my strength, both mentally and physically. I’ve always been relatively athletic but one of those “little guys” who could run for days but couldn’t lift heavy. I thought I never could with my build. I have found through CrossFit that I’m capable of so much more than I believed my body could handle. I thought I was in shape before joining CrossFit, having done the GloboGym thing and some Cardio Kickboxing along with plenty of 5Ks, 10Ks, tennis, and kickball on the side. Ever since joining and subscribing to CrossFit programming, everything has improved for me. My health, my stamina, my mental fortitude. Though I may not be the biggest person in the class, I’m always looking to lift with the “big boys”. I’ve caught the CrossFit bug. The community and camaraderie of CrossFit Souhegan make the whole experience intoxicating and enjoyable.
